How to compare loans beyond the interest rate.

The right loan is not necessarily the one with the lowest headline rate. Compare the complete cost and the conditions that apply to you.

Compare the total repayment

Look at the monthly EMI and the total amount payable over the full tenure. A longer tenure can lower monthly payments but may increase the total interest cost.

Read the fee schedule

Processing fees, documentation charges, insurance or add-on products, late-payment charges and prepayment conditions can affect the actual cost. Confirm which charges are mandatory and how they are calculated.

Check your eligibility against published criteria

Compare the loan amount range, income type, credit criteria, business vintage or collateral requirements relevant to your situation. Published criteria do not guarantee approval.

Check the source and date

Use the lender’s official website or documents. If a comparison site shows a rate or fee, look for a source and last-verified date. Treat missing data as unknown, not as zero cost.

Understand who is offering the loan

For digital journeys, identify the actual regulated lender and read its official terms. A technology platform, marketplace or intermediary is not necessarily the entity providing the credit.
